We held our company retreat (12 people) at Chalet Arpian — everything is perfect: the location, the magical view, the space for everyone. Chef Sam is a real bonus. The welcome makes you want to come back very soon — we felt at home.

Arpian is located in Les Avanchers, the village where valley residents live year-round — town hall, school, life that continues throughout the year. Valmorel, the resort, is just above, 5 minutes by free shuttle.
Built in 1976, Valmorel is a so-called "4th-generation resort": lauze stone roofs, wooden facades, local stone, chalets of 3 to 4 floors maximum. No apartment blocks, no towers. But when the season ends, the shutters close. In Les Avanchers, the village keeps its own rhythm — that's where we welcome you.

Valmorel is part of the Grand Domaine : 165 km of slopes across 3,600 hectares, connected by gondolas to Saint-François-Longchamp, Doucy and Celliers. One pass, four resorts.
From beginner to expert, everyone finds their line. Family slopes near the snow-front, the long red runs of Le Mottet, the technical pistes of Crève-tête — and 4 secured freeride areas for those seeking powder.
The season runs from late December to mid-April, with guaranteed snow thanks to the altitude (1,250 to 2,550 m / 4,100 to 8,360 ft). From Arpian, 5 minutes by free shuttle to the Planchamp gondola, and you're on the slopes.
Practical perks : ski passes reloaded from your sofa, professional ski boot dryer to start each morning dry, secure ski locker. The Piou-Piou snow garden and the ESF ski school welcome the youngest from age three, and the lift pass is free for under-5s and over-75s.

With Escapades Nordiques, 30-minute or 1-hour sled rides through the high-altitude forests. From age 2, family or couples. One of the children's favorite activities.

Guided or self-guided, through the hanging villages of the valley, silver larches, and endless panoramas. Skiing without the skis.

With Arnaud (Valmo'Insolite), rides on all-terrain e-scooters with FAT tires on the groomed paths. Afternoon or sunset — the Planchamp plateau as far as the eye can see.
About twenty kilometers of cross-country trails at the heart of the valley. For purists of silent gliding.
Marked trails for beginners up to demanding routes on the Tarentaise summits. Guides on request.
Six sleds tied behind each other, group descent at dusk. Laughter guaranteed.
2.4 km sled track at the top of the Combelouvière chairlift. From age 3 with an adult.
Take off from the peaks, fly over the valley. For those who want to see the mountain from above.
France's longest double zip line, on skis from Planchamp. From age 6, in pairs side by side.
Valmorel's cinema, at the heart of the Bourg. Recent films and family screenings — for bad-weather evenings.
Spa, yoga, snowmobile, night walks, cooking workshops, Mont-Blanc escape… The full list in your chalet.
You come back from a day on the slopes. Red cheeks, tired legs, but a smile on your face. You open Arpian's door. The fire is already crackling. The bathrobes are waiting for you. And outside, the hot tub steams under the snowflakes.
That's why Arpian exists: so that this moment, the one that follows the day on the slopes, becomes the most precious memory of your holiday.

When the snow melts, the slopes become trails, silence replaces the hum of chairlifts, and the marmots take back their kingdom.

A luxurious, well-appointed chalet with plenty of space for a large group. Guillaume was extremely responsive. Chef Sam is an absolute must — he's worth every penny. Refined bedroom linens, perfectly equipped bathrooms.
