We held our company retreat (12 people) at Chalet Arpian — everything is perfect: the location, the magical view, the space for everyone. Chef Sam is a real bonus. The welcome makes you want to come back very soon — we felt at home.

In the morning, you have coffee on the terrace facing the valley. At noon, you lunch in the sun at the outdoor dining area. In the afternoon, the kids run in the garden. At the end of the day, you light the fire under the hot tub. In the evening, you grill on the plancha under the stars. One single outdoor space, designed to live outside — from morning to night.
Before you come back from the slopes, the logs are ready. The fire crackles beneath the tub. The water slowly rises to 104°F over two hours. The time it takes.
The striking contrast between the crisp mountain air and the enveloping warmth of the water. Muscles release, your mind empties, and stars slowly fill the sky above the peaks.
A drink in hand, you replay the descent, argue about the best line, laugh at each other's falls. Eight seats, one tribe, and the mountain listening.
To accompany the warming up, the evening drink, or the night settling on the terrace. Our selection of acoustic tracks, refreshed a few times a year, to listen to on Deezer.

We could have chosen electric: faster heating, fewer steps. We chose wood.
Between the moment you light the fire and the moment you step in, two hours go by — during which the tribe gathers around the embers. You add a log. You talk. You let the day settle.
We tell the story of this choice — and its unexpected consequences — in a long piece in the Journal.
Three bundles of logs are included in your stay.
À l'automne 2026, un sauna extérieur en bois complétera la terrasse bien-être d'Arpian. Pour vivre le chaud/froid as practiced in Lapland — Savoyard version, facing the peaks.
Stays from autumn 2026 onwards will benefit automatically, with no surcharge.

Beyond the wooden terrace, a flat lawn of over 2,150 sq ft — enough room for kids to run, for lying in the grass, or for soaking up the sun without bothering anyone. Partial view of the valley peaks.
What's there: sun loungers on the wooden terrace, right next to the hot tub. A plancha brazier for evenings with friends. An outdoor dining area for sunny lunches. And all the green space you need to do nothing, without asking anyone.
The bath is ready. The wood is crackling. The garden is waiting. Your tribe is waiting for you.

An unforgettable family week. The chalet is perfectly suited for large groups — everyone has their own space. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, beautiful living spaces and kitchen. We left full of wonderful memories.
A luxurious, well-appointed chalet with plenty of space for a large group. Guillaume was extremely responsive. Chef Sam is an absolute must — he's worth every penny. Refined bedroom linens, perfectly equipped bathrooms.
Beautiful chalet with plenty of room for everyone. Well-equipped kitchen, fabulous outdoor spa, plush bathrobes and towels. Free shuttle right outside to access the slopes. Host easy to reach and very helpful.
